Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ESM and PwBD candidates, wherever applicable and admissible, will be determined according to the requirements communicated by the concerned Ministries, Departments, Offices or Cadres and the applicable Government rules.

SSC has also clarified that the Commission does not decide the number of vacancies for individual Ministries, Departments or Organisations. The vacancies are reported by the concerned Indenting Ministries, Departments and Organisations.
